Innovative Medical Opportunities for Nebo Students

Submitted by nikki.argyle on

Nebo School District offers unpaid internships to high school juniors and seniors who have taken CTE-related classes in a specific career field.  The students receive high school credit for their time at these businesses.

"Before starting my internship, I did not know what a Nurse Practitioner was or what I would have to do to get there. But because of my internship at Utah Valley Pediatrics, I was able to get an insight on different opportunities in the medical field. I love being there!"

WELCOME BACK CTE TEACHERS!

Submitted by nikki.argyle on

To kick off the new school year CTE teachers gathered at the Advanced Learning Center. Lunch was served, drinks from the Bottle CAPS drink bus were available and a great time was had by all. Teachers were able to climb a rock wall provided by the national guard, ride drift trikes that the welding teachers across the district make with the students each year, do 3D sculpting, ride in the flight simulator, and explore the Anatomage table and so much more. Thank you to the ALC teachers for providing activities and showing what ALC has to offer for Nebo students. Here's to a great year!!

MMHS CE Kickoff

Submitted by nikki.argyle on

Did you know MMHS students saved over $1.9M last year in tuition/fees by completing concurrent enrollment classes? If you are taking CE classes at MMHS this year and need help registering, Mrs. Dunn is holding a kickoff on Thursday, August 4, from 9 am - 1 pm. If you can't make it that day, that's ok, you'll still get the information in your classes and she'll still be available to help once school officially starts. But if you want to get it out of the way early, or you have questions about concurrent enrollment, stop by next Thursday!
