I am so glad to have had an opportunity to participate in two bakery internships this year! One of them baked gluten free items, which was highly interesting to me. It has been so much fun learning about different kinds of dough and perfecting my shaping.
During my internship I was tasked with 3D modeling of a CNC machine and learned many new things in Fusion 360, which is CAD engineering software!
I've loved this internship, it's shown me that I can work with my hands and make a living as well, if not better, doing a plumbing apprenticeship, as opposed to getting a 4+ year degree at a university.
I have learned so much to help me in my future field of study by sitting in on a trial, learning how to write legal documents and file them with the court and different ways to deal with clients.
The biggest thing I have learned is writing Server-side code rather than Client-side. Anytime I was stuck or confused, my mentor would walk me through the process of figuring it out.
One big thing I learned at my internship was "situational awareness". Noticing things people don't think to look for while performing tasks around the airport to keep it running safely
