Submitted by nikki.argyle on

Prepping the wires and clamping rj-45 heads onto the ends of the wires making it a functional Ethernet cable are the tasks taught to Lucas Burnette at his internship by Dale Shaw, IT Director at Payson City. Nebo School District is appreciative of all the companies that provide internships for our high school students, teaching them skills and exposing them to different careers.

Mrs. Ford and Mrs. Whittekiend's Digital Business Apps students are having a great time learning how the business world relies on digital technology.  Throughout the semester, students will be running their own "business".  This week, they got to bring their products to life by designing, printing, and making buttons!  They will be doing market research, branding, social media campaigns, a podcast, and more to help their business be successful.  We are looking forward to a great semester!

SFHS Digital Graphic Arts Class

Mrs. Ford's Digital Graphic Arts class had a great time with their daily "Creativity Challenge" today.  They were able to get outside and away from the computer to build the tallest tower possible from 20 pipe cleaners.  They encountered some challenges along the way when production costs were cut and they had to put one hand behind their back to work or when the company expanded globally and they couldn't communicate by talking.  The year is off to a fun start!
