On Sep 2, 2021, SHS held their FFA Opening Social to kick off the 2021-2022 year. So much hard work was put in by the amazing officer team. They invited freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to mingle and get to know each other better over some ice-cold sodas and cookies. There was a giant 100-foot slip n slide that was sudsed up and they enjoyed some soapy fun! Alli Hawkins (sophomore) said, “I had a blast. It was so fun! But next time don't let Micha (sophomore) have the dish soap.” There was a great turnout of freshmen. It is always good to see new smiling faces in the chapter. We are excited to see the growth that these new students will add to our chapter! The freshmen boys enjoyed throwing water balloons at one another.
While the students were enjoying their time together, we also had an informational meeting for the parents. At this meeting, our advisors covered all of the new information parents will need to be aware of about the Springville FFA Chapter.
Brighton Hall (sophomore) summed up the activity very well stating, “ Good Treats, Great People, Grand Time.” We are excited to plan and carry out more fun activities, like this one, in the upcoming school year.
