SHHS FCCLA Receives Awards at Utah FCCLA State Conference

Last week SHHS FCCLA students attended Utah FCCLA State Conference and had the opportunity to compete. The following students received awards.

Maci Nielsen- Chapter Website-  Bronze 

Bri Cameron Career Investigation- Gold

Bailey Black Career Investigation- Gold First Place qualifying for Nationals

Mrs. Ford's Business Office Specialist Students Certify

Mrs. Ford’s Business Office Specialist students have the unique opportunity to become Microsoft Office Specialists by taking the industry-recognized MOS exams. Students who earn these certifications will possess marketable skills that will get them hired faster, and give them high-growth, advancement, and salary opportunities right out of high school!

Spanish Fork Jr High Students Excel at State FCCLA

Three students from Spanish Fork Jr High competed at the State FCCLA Conference in Layton last week.  

Autumn Aylsworth and Brielle Von Hoene both competed in the Fashion Construction Star Event.  They each spent over 30 hours sewing a dress, and even more, time creating a board and filling out paperwork.  They both placed high at the region FCCLA conference which qualified them to move on to state.  They both received gold medals at state.

SFHS Success at Utah FCCLA State Conference

Last week SFHS FCCLA chapter competed at state. Aspen Brinkerhoff earned silver in the Leadership event and Maycee Taylor earned bronze in Sports Nutrition. Way to go ladies!

If anyone is interested in becoming a member or an officer for next year so you can compete in FCS-related events and learn industry & leadership skills, talk to Mrs. Peterson, Mrs. Fausett, or Coach Jensen!

SHHS HOSA Team Competes at State Competition

Congratulations to the Salem Hills HOSA team. These future health care professionals competed for the first time, and all students placed in the top ten. Kyle Campbell took 3rd place and qualified for the national competition in Nashville, TN.
