FFA had the opportunity to attend State FFA Convention March 9 and 10.  While there students had the opportunity to compete in events, listen to motivational speakers, attend workshops and network with other students from throughout the state. 

Proficiency Award: Award that recognizes students for their SAE (home-based projects) - State Winners 

  • Ian Jensen - Swine Placement - works for a local hog breeder 
  • Rylei Voorhees- Agricultural Processing - works for a local meat packing plant
  • Ashley Olsen - Diversified Livestock - raises turkeys, cattle and sheep
  • Kyla Lovingier - Small Animal Production - raises and sells hedgehogs

Star Award: Award recognizes students for their SAE. 

  • Ian Jensen - State Star in Placement 3rd Runner Up
  • Wyatt Mangelson - State Greenhand in Agribusiness Winner
  • Wyatt Mangelson - State Greenhand in Production 1st Runner up

State FFA Degree: Degree earned by productively investing, giving back to the community, and working on their SAE experience.

Agriscience Fair: Students complete a project and compete

State Officer: ran convention and gave her retiring address; she has served during the 2022-2023 school year
