We had two students competing in speaking contests, representing our area. Samantha Powell competed in the Prepared Public Speaking contest. She placed 2nd in the state. Breanna Harding competed in the Extemporaneous Public Speaking contest and came home with the State title! She will be competing at National FFA Convention this October. Both girls spent countless hours preparing for their contest and we are absolutely thrilled with the results!

Maple Mountain also received a 10% Membership Increase award. This means our program has grown at least 10% from last year. We have received this award the last 4 years, which goes to show we are growing consistently as a chapter!

Breanna Harding also served on the Nominating Committee, meaning she was one of the few students who selected the newly installed FFA State Officers. This is a very time consuming and important task, and we know she represented Maple Mountain FFA well.

We were able to take 22 awesome students who participated in a service project (working at the Logan Food Pantry), attended various workshops, cheered on their peers, attended sessions, as well as having chapter bonding with a nice competitive game of bowling.

Maple Mountain FFA is building some of the best future leaders! We are excited to see what they accomplish in life!
