In Nebo School District, we have amazing CTE teachers! We are so grateful for all that they do for our students, parents, and for our district. February is CTE Month and to celebrate our teachers we would like to spotlight them and share a few fun facts we have learned about each of them.

Tom Hawks has been teaching for 11 years part-time and 1-year full time. He currently teaches at Advanced Learning Center and teaches Building Construction/Carpentry.

The best thing about his job is that he likes the subject and the kids and the people at the school are exceptionally good.

In his spare time, he enjoys Outdoors recreation.

When asked if he could live anywhere in the world he wanted, he said in a remote mountain and if there was anything he could not live without, he would have farm produce, not eating is not an option.

His favorite food is roast beef and mashed potatoes and if he had to only eat one food for the rest of his life it would be mashed potatoes and gravy.

If Tom had a warning label it would say “Warning: Follow directions.”

When asked what animal he would be he said, “a Dog, you get lots of food and you are encouraged to lay around.”

Since all teachers are superheroes when asked what other superhero he would be and Tom would like to be Captain America.

Thank you for all that you do for CTE and Nebo School District.
