In Nebo School District, we have amazing CTE teachers! We are so grateful for all that they do for our students, parents, and for our district. February is CTE Month and to celebrate our teachers we would like to spotlight them and share a few fun facts we have learned about each of them.

Mary Alice McCarlie has been teaching for 2 years. She currently teaches at Salem Hills High School. Mary Alice teaches Sewing, Child Development, ECE, ARFL, and Fashion Design.

She says the best thing about her job is, “I love seeing the kids really invested in a project or an assignment. I love seeing them love learning in my classroom.”

In her spare time, she enjoys running, sewing, and knitting.

When asked if she could live anywhere in the world she wanted, she said New Zealand, and she could not live without her music streaming service.

Her favorite food is any type of pasta and if she had to only eat one food for the rest of her life it would be probably potatoes, they are super versatile.

When asked what animal she would be, she said “a bird, I think it would be awesome to fly.”

Since all teachers are superheroes when asked what other superhero or character she would like to be and she said any character from Pride and Prejudice.

Thank you for all that you do for CTE and Nebo School District.
