Mr. Rawling's asked his Manufacturing Tech students "What can we do with all the extra fruit and vegetables that students are not eating (but throwing away)?" This sparked the idea of Organic Recycling. Students hypothesized turning discarded lunchroom foods into some type of by-product.

Recently, they created a branding guide for their business that includes their logo, business card, product packaging, colors, and typography.

Today Salem Hills Video Production class had guest speaker Ryan Grasslyn from Extreme Motus. He presented to the class the importance of taking chances and following your dreams. Chris Thomas the District Work-Based Learning Internship Coordinator was able to help students recognize the value and importance of doing internships with local companies in their desired career pathway.

Throughout the semester, students will be running their own "business". This week, they got to bring their products to life by designing, printing, and making buttons! They will be doing market research, branding, social media campaigns, a podcast, and more to help their business be successful. We are looking forward to a great semester!
