Every year Nebo School District’s five high schools rotate the location of the Annual Nebo Welding Competition Invitational. This year the competition was held at Spanish Fork High School. Provo High School was also invited this year.
Javier Munoz has been working on his welding skills at Cornaby’s Powder Coating & Railing. “I am excited to learn more, I have already learned a lot in just 3 times of going there. It is a very chill place and very cool to see how they do their job. It is cool to see the welders weld and it is good to see how they do their job and how they measure and weld. And it is a good place to intern learning hands-on, it’s a great place to learn.”
On January 25, the 14th annual Mr. Maple Mountain FCCLA fundraiser was held. 11 senior guys competed for the crown and title of Mr. Maple Mountain 2023. The packed auditorium audience was entertained throughout the entire evening with an opening dance number choreographed by Maple Mountain Dance Company, a swimsuit competition, a talent from each contestant, and evening wear. We honored two Mr. MMHS Ambassadors, Chris Olsen and Adam Everett. Our favorite Mr.
Talented Natalie Parker is interning at
Mrs. Ford’s Digital Graphic Arts class used their Photoshop skills along with a newly-acquired sublimation printer and heat press to design their own shirts/sweatshirts. They had so much fun seeing their designs come to life!
The Advanced Culinary class at Payson High School catered and set up for the Payson Santaquin Area Business Chamber Holiday Luncheon. Chicken Alfredo, green salad and rolls were for the meal with homemade cheesecake was the dessert. The Culinary students set up the place arrangements, waited on the guests and served the meal to over 40 business chamber members. Compliments were generously given to the students as their professional service and delicious food was enjoyed.
Maple Mountain FBLA club competed at Region on December 8th and was awarded 5th place overall in the Outstanding Chapter category (our highest ranking ever).

Fashion Design and Sewing students at Spanish Fork High School competed in the 11 th annual Recycle
and Repurpose Fashion Show on November 21 st, 2022. Students had roughly 3 months to create a
fashionable, unique outfit based on the theme the students chose this year which was the “Elements –
Earth, Wind, Air and Fire”. It was an incredible night, one to not be missed! Students modeled their
designs down the runway and competed to win their category element or one of the three overall
Mrs. Knotts’ Baking and Pastry A3 class catered the Student of the Month lunch today and made these delicious fruit tarts!
