Payson High Wins Big at State FCCLA

Payson High School competed in the Region FCCLA competition at BYU. All students that competed qualified for the state competition. The following students took Gold; Clara Beddoes, Kassie Neal, Makell Loveless. With Cooper Heaps & Katelyn Connelly took silver in their event. State FCCLA is March 26th, where all these students will compete to go to Nationals.

Payson High School DECA Finalists

Two students from Payson High became finalists in the individual event categories at the recent Utah DECA state conference, Shamara Britos (Retail Merchandising Series) and Landon Serynek (Sports and Entertainment Marketing Series). On the second day of the conference, towards the end, it was also announced that Serynek got sixth place in his category. Getting this placement means that he has the chance to compete at Nationals in Florida.

8th Annual Nebo Welding Invitational

This year marks the 8th annual Nebo Welding Invitational among Nebo Welding classes. All 5 high schools were well represented with their elite welders from their programs. A total of 6 contestants from each school, 3 for the individual welding competition and 3 formed a fabrication team. With the annual support of local welding companies and vendors along with Miller Electric and Lincoln Electric Companies the students were able to battle for some very prestigious prizes!

Springville High School CTE Student Wins UVU Regional Business Contest

Tristen Thompson and his mother, Rachael Thompson

Tristen Thompson, a CTE business and marketing student at Springville High School was awarded "co-winner-up" in the 2019 UVU Regional Business Contest on Friday evening, Jan. 28, 2019.  In addition to first-place honors, Tristen was awarded significant prize money made possible through the generosity of Steve Gibson, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
