In Nebo School District, we have amazing CTE teachers! We are so grateful for all that they do for our students, parents, and for our district. February is CTE Month and to celebrate our teachers we would like to spotlight them and share a few fun facts we have learned about each of them.

Sharon Keliiliki has been teaching for 5 years at Salem Junior High and teaches Foods & Nutrition 1 and FCS Exploration. Before that, she taught pre-school and at an elementary school.

The best thing about her job she says is “I love working with young people and teaching them about things that will prepare them for their future.  I like to think that I am helping my students become productive, upstanding citizens that will contribute and make a difference in society for the entirety of their adult life.”

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with, and participating in activities with her family. Together as a family they really like the outdoors and spend a lot of time camping, hiking, and other outdoor adventures.

When asked if she could live anywhere in the world she wanted,  she said “ If I couldn't live in the USA, I would live in New Zealand.” If there was anything she could not live without her response was “ I would have to have Books! There’s a quote by Marcus Tullius Cicero that I live by, “A room without books is like a body without a soul.

Her favorite food is Japanese Cuisine and if she had to only eat one food for the rest of her life it would be SUSHI !!!!!!

If Sharon had a warning label it would say “Caution: Mama bear sightings. Keep the area clean and peanut butter secure.”

When she was asked what animal she would be she said, “A horse.  A horse is beautiful, majestic, powerful, and strong, yet it lives to be serviceable.”

Since all teachers are superheroes when asked what other superhero or character she would want to be and Sharon said she would like to be Mary Poppins!.

Thank you for all that you do for CTE and Nebo School District.
