Spanish Fork FFA finished a great year with the school garden program. This was our second year selling produce at the Spanish Fork Farmers Market. In total 7 students worked throughout the summer in the garden, taking care of the plants, harvesting, and selling produce. This year we grew 250 tomato plants, 75 pepper plants, 30 melon plants, and various squash plants. Our harvest was great this year, in total we harvested over 3,150 pounds of tomatoes, and countless squash, melons, and peppers! In total the garden sold nearly $2000 of produce at the Spanish Fork Farmers Market! Students were also able to bring produce from their home gardens, and sold over $500 of produce grown at  homes. Students learned many skills; plant care, marketing and disease and pest control. Special thanks to the instructor Brandon Gardner that spent his Saturdays at the Farmers Market.
