An internship program at Nebo’s Advanced Learning Center has been helping High School Students try out career paths and prepare for the future.
This semester, 147 students from 5 area high schools are participating in the program. They are working at power plants, animal hospitals, florists, accountants, city offices, police departments, studios, schools and more. The attend twice a week for a semester.
“It’s endless the things the kids can do,” said program director Chris Thomas.
We would like to congratulate Joshua Spackman on winning the first business plan competition. Joshua is a part of the MMHS Business Management class for concurrent enrollment.
Joshua won $500 cash and has qualified to compete at UVU for a $1000 cash prize.
Best of luck Joshua!!
The FBLA club, and other students from Mr. Spainhower's classes, at MMHS have had a busy couple weeks and we wanted to share! Last Friday night they teamed up with Nebo Credit Union to assist them in their "Warm the Soles" program. Our students helped wrap over 900 pairs of Christmas shoes that Nebo CU purchased for deserving students in our district. It was such a wonderful event and our students loved supporting such a great cause!
